How can you tell the difference between a fake Louis Vuitton purse and a real one?
Just curious. I have a fake and was wondering how to tell the difference. So far, everything I have read matches the description of my fake! So, maybe mine is just a really good imposter.
Well!!! caramelcamilla! i am not sure that you actually read my question!!! i am not really sure where in my question that i "preached" or opened an ignorant mouth. somebody gave me the purse as a gift, and everybody that knows me knows that it is fake! next time, before you post an answer, you might want to read the question. i asked a simple question and u went off the deep end about me preaching and such! if you have an unhappy life..keep it to yourself along with your stupid comments! READING is a good thing. you showed your stupidty by sending an answer that is completely off target and difficult to understand. blabber to yourself from now on and let people who need answers to questions ask them w/out fear of being attacked by psychocamilla!

Where did you get it? Did you get it as a gift? Are they well off? It’s better to analyze where you got it then to try to determine by the details of the purse. Most people cannot tell a real LV vs a fake.
There is a website that will authenticate it for you mypoupette.com but it costs money.

usually the first sign would be the use of leather or lack of leather, if u can’t tell by the feel, look for the straps(should be smooth, lining(top quality material used), and also the emblem should be embossed on the inside. The price, and where u purchase your designer bags are also a dead giveaway if they are knock-off’s.
g’luck

unless someone looks really closely, or sets a fake and real side by side, or checks the tag, no one gonna know the difference. sometimes the pattern is a little different, or the colors, or the material, little things like that…

If you can’t see any difference, then who cares? It’s all about being seen wearing the name, isn’t it?

I’m not positive about Louis Vuitton, but on most purses, you can tell if it’s real by a tab with a serial number on it.
Also, if it’s supposed to be leather, you could take it into any store that sells real leather and they could tell you if it was.
Good luck! :]

Usually somewhere on the the fake purses there may be a seam or a cut off in the middle of the <LV>.

It comes down to everything from the seames on the outside and inside of the bag not lining up, as well as other obvious defects like a bad logo replica and lack of certificate of authenticity.

yes, and worrying about real or fake handbags is a pressing matter we should all concern ourselves with. I could sit and give you the whole laundry list of reasons why ‘faux’ handbags are wrong — tacky being first — the fact that they actually RAISE prices on regular goods for the rest of consumers — but I won’t b/c I’m guessing you don’t care regardless of what I say, you’re still going to run around with your fake Louis, right? But it’s okay b/c everyone else is doing it right? exactly. Maybe you should think twice before you open your ignorant mouth and ‘preach’ to people about their questions and concerns — when you don’t know the first thing about the things you’re doing and how society sees them and how they affect the rest of the society, huh? LMAO.
