Ebay: How to ship a Louis Vuitton purse from the US to Switzerland?

I sold my purse on ebay but the buyer lives in Europe. Can we just use Paypal and ship the item as usual?
What would be the best carrier? Is USPS available as well? How about customs, taxes and that?
I'm just an occasional private seller not a business.

You can go to the usps website and check the pricing and from there. I was going to send a wii to Africa and I had to check the rate to make sure I was getting paid enough from the customer.

I ship internationally with USPS. If you print your labels at home through Paypal it will take you through it step by step. If you go to the post office you will have to fill out some customs forms which are attached to the outside of your package in a clear plastic sleeve. The forms ask what is in your package, its value, if it is a gift, things of that sort. Also, your shipping address and return address will go on these forms. I always write the address & return adress on the package as welI just in case the papers are misplaced (A tip from a postal worker) I have never had to pay taxes, but sometimes the buyer has to pay taxes on the package before they can get it from customs. Yes, the buyer can pay you via Paypal. When she pays, the money is automatically converted to US dollars to your account.
You can send the package USPS and you will have to complete Customs Declaration and Dispatch Note Form #CP72 (just ask the post office clerk for the white customs form). The form is pretty much self-explanatory. Make sure you insure the package and send it USPS global priority shipping. I have used Federal Express to ship packages to Europe before and that is also a very reliable service, but the fee is much more the USPS. I would get a quote from Fed Ex and ask the buyer which service does she want to pay for.
If I had a choice, I trust Federal Express with something that expensive over USPS.
