She's 51 but looks about 37 or 38. She loves Louis Vuitton but I have no clue what bag to get her. She's not like a old lady so I want to get her a classy bag but one that's not too young. My GF was supposed to help me but we ended up breaking up 4 days ago. I was thinking one of those dark brown checkered bags and a wallet? or maybe like a clutch and a scarf?

You should just casually bring it up and ask her if she likes the damier LV stuff (that's the checkered line of bags, wallets etc) Find out what her fav pattern is then go from there. I feel like matching the wallet with the bag is more of a younger person thing. You could get her a pair of sunglasses and the speedy damier. Most of their sunglasses are about $650 so it's not too too bad and it sounds like you're willing to spend some $$. Then the Damier ebony speedy 30 or 35. It's a good style for younger or older people. A scarf would be good but sunglasses would be so much better. Or you could do the sunglasses and the small vernis bag that has a chain strap. It's about $800 so it's about $100 more but it comes in black so it's perfect for everyone. I can't remember the name of it but you'll see it at the LV store.

This girl first said she has a fountain in her bedroom. Then, says she has 9 louie veton bags with matching purses and just yesterday, she showed me and my friends a picture of her room and it didn't have a fountain. She said that was because she moved into a new house not long ago. This has been happening for ages and i'm still stuck with her lies. What am I supposed to do in this situation?

First of all, it doesn't matter what she has in order to be friends with you. Yeah, she probably doesn't have a fountain but who care's? A "real" friendship isn't about someone having a fountain in there room, which honestly I have never heard of. You are supposed to like someone for who they are. If you don't wanna be friends then just slowly start ignoring her. She feels like she has to be cool around you.

LA princess has it right - they come with care booklets.
A good way to tell a fake is if it comes with an authenticity card (fakers make these thinking that LV comes with them).
Also - not all LV comes with the care booklets so that can be a dead giveaway too =)

I sold my purse on ebay but the buyer lives in Europe. Can we just use Paypal and ship the item as usual?

but let me remind you that there are a lot of fake ones out there. and you can tell by the leather and the print.
but if you know your friend well and know that she is well-off then i dont think it is fake.

Chanel! Louis Vuitton looks very tacky and can be easily mocked by cheap companies. Chanel is very classy and pretty. Their bags last longer, too. Any type is fine - they're all cute.

Hi there. I have been collecting Louis Vuitton bags for nearly 6 years now. There are many many different ways to tell if it is real or a knock off. It would of course help to know which bag you own (epi, monogram, damier collection...etc...).

Assuming you received a monogram bag (classic brown LV logos and quadrafoils on it).

I would first look for date code NOT SERIAL NUMBER. Many people call it a serial number when in fact it is called Date Code. Now, as for the code it should begin with 2 letters followed by 4 numbers. The Model number of the bag is NOT a date code and is NEVER stamped inside the bag.

Secondly....Authentic Vuittons should NEVER EVER have a tag hanging off the bag, a green envelope, white paper tags with a model number and certainly not certificate of authenticity. Vuitton does not do this.

Third would be lining. There are many different linings from Alcantara (raspberry, charcoal or beige colored). Brown cotton coated canvas lining, leather lined etc... The interior should be fine and soft. Not hard beige uneven suede like materials.

Forth would have to be stamping and if it matched the date code. Example made in U.S.A have certain date codes. made in France have others as well as made in Spain and made in Italy (mind you, only very very few are made in Italy).
